Hot on the heels of our QuickBooks integration, we're thrilled to announce that native Xero integration will be launching in Q1 2026. This integration brings the power of automated reconciliation to the millions of businesses worldwide that rely on Xero for their accounting needs.

Why Xero Integration Matters

Xero is the leading cloud accounting platform for small and medium businesses, particularly in the UK, Australia, and New Zealand. Many of our international customers have been requesting this integration, and we've listened.

The integration will enable seamless data flow between Xero and MatchRecon, eliminating duplicate data entry and ensuring your financial records are always accurate and up to date across both platforms.

Core Capabilities

The Xero integration will sync invoices, bills, purchase orders, bank transactions, and contact information bidirectionally. This means MatchRecon can pull your Xero data for intelligent matching, then push reconciliation results back to Xero automatically.

Real-time bank feed integration is a key feature—MatchRecon will access your bank transactions directly from Xero and automatically match them against invoices and bills. This creates a complete end-to-end reconciliation workflow without leaving either platform.

Advanced Features

The integration will support Xero's tracking categories, allowing you to maintain detailed departmental or project-level reconciliation. Multi-currency transactions are fully supported, including automatic exchange rate handling.

Contact matching will use intelligent algorithms to handle variations in supplier names, ensuring invoices are correctly attributed even when naming isn't perfectly consistent. Custom invoice fields and line item details will sync completely, preserving all your important transaction metadata.

Whether you're processing 50 invoices or 5,000 per month, the Xero integration scales with your business. Batch processing and incremental sync ensure fast performance even with large transaction volumes.

The integration supports multiple Xero organizations, making it ideal for accounting firms managing reconciliation for multiple clients. Switch between organizations seamlessly without logging out.

Security and Authentication

Like all our integrations, Xero connectivity uses OAuth 2.0 for secure authentication. MatchRecon will never store your Xero password, and you can revoke access at any time from your Xero account settings.

All data synchronization happens over encrypted connections, and we maintain comprehensive audit logs showing exactly what data was synced and when. This provides the transparency and security your financial data deserves.

Availability and Pricing

The Xero integration will be available to all Professional and Business plan subscribers at no additional charge. Starter plan customers can add Xero integration for $49 per month.

We're planning a phased rollout starting in March 2026, with general availability by the end of Q1. Customers interested in early access can sign up for our beta program by contacting our customer success team.
